Pros And Cons Of Motorola Moto 360

Smartwatches have received their fair share of hype over the past year or so, but none more so than Motorola's Moto 360. The very antithesis of more ostentatiously geeky recent offerings from Samsung and LG, the 360 is the among the first in a wave of circular-faced smartwatches.

So wasting no time, here are the pros and cons and specifications of this amazingly beautiful smartwatch...

PROS OF MOTOROLA MOTO 360

1. Pairs with your phone via Bluetooth, tells the time, receives notifications (such as text messages, emails, Facebook and Twitter updates) via a series of interactive cards, and it can run apps.

2.  The Moto 360 has a little green light on the back that will try to detect your heart rate (this is apparently called a "photoplethysmograph").

3. It's water-resistant, with an IP67 rating, meaning you can get it a little wet and it won't die.

4. It has standard Qi wireless charging technology.

5. It is powered by a Ti OMAP 3 processor with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of storage as backup.

6. Reasonable price for high end timepiece.

7. Compatible with any Android device running 4.3 or higher.

CONS OF MOTOROLA MOTO 360

1. Voice recognition needs work.

2. Since the battery is only 320mAh which is quite low and will survive for only almost a day. (A Teardown shows that it is only 300mAh.

3. Limited apps at the moment.

4. Since Apple has launched its Apple watch with great features and especially "The Crown", this moto 360 seems a little low on features.

BOTTOM LINE

Motorola's Moto 360 is the best-looking smartwatch you can get right now, and Android Wear works surprisingly well considering how young the OS is, but the single-day battery life might deter some.
